Before you rent a car in Uganda, it is usually good to first know the requirements and all what it takes to get one. This helps to have a successful ride. For car hire in Uganda, we have a variety of cars available for you. The list includes a Toyota Rav 4, Land cruiser Prado, Land cruiser V8, Coaster bus and a Safari van mainly for those who need a ride in Kampala or a safari around Uganda. Saloon cars like a Toyota Noah, Raum, Vitz and a premio exist for a drive in Kampala or Jinja. Car Rental rates in Uganda
Car rental in Uganda is charged per day and the rates don’t include fuel except when it is requested by the client. The cheapest strong car is a Toyota Rav 4 and goes for around 40 – 45 USD depending on the number of days for the rental. The land cruiser Prado is provided at 65 – 70 USD per day without fuel.
The luxurious Land cruiser V8 costs 75 – 80 USD a day. The Safari van rental in Kampala is 70 USD. The big coaster bus with a driver is at 130 USD in the capital and 140 USD for upcountry.

How to Book a Car. Through the website contact page, fill the form and contact Car rental Kampala for a quote and necessary requirements. The reservation agent will respond to your email with everything you would like to know and the best rates.
Delivery & Pickup. When you book the car, expect to receive it at your location. They will deliver it for you. Delivery in Kampala and Entebbe is free of charge. For distant places like Jinja, Mbarara, Kasese, Fort portal, Gulu and more, you are required to meet the costs for fuel, and driver commission. At the end of your rental period, pick up of the vehicle is only free of charge for Kampala and Entebbe Airport.
Minimum age. The minimum age to drive in Uganda is 18 years. Starting from this age, you are free to do the ride on Uganda’s roads. Health condition is also necessary. Your eyes must be working well and brains should be in good shape.
Requirements for car rental. You must be with a valid driving license and passport. On day one, the company representative will take photos of these documents including the Visa stamp in your passport to prove that you entered through the Entebbe international Airport or another valid entry point.
Car rental terms & conditions. There is rules and regulations that govern the car rental business in Uganda. On delivery, the representative will bring a hard copy of these terms and conditions for you to read and sign on it. Before you sign, make sure to read and understand everything. To be issued a car for rental, you must sign these terms and be sure to follow them. Any mistake that violates these regulations will cause you to pay fines.
Who handles mechanical problems? When there is any mechanical problem on the car, be sure to notify the service provider before you make any repairs. We are responsible to get our technician and fix the available issue. Any repairs made without notice to the car provider is nonrefundable.
Unlimited mileage. In Uganda, there is no limitation on where to go. Once the vehicle is provided, you are free to visit all the places you have listed on the agreement. We only don’t allow you to go to those places that are restricted by the responsible security organs.
Use of the Vehicle. You are allowed to use the vehicle for the right purpose. Our vehicles are not available for motor racing, passenger transport or transportation of goods like agricultural products, animals and more. Moreover, don’t use the vehicle to carry construction materials.
Cross border rental. We allow our vehicles to cross to nearby countries like Rwanda and Kenya but you must have permission. Disclose this in advance such that we process for you the necessary documents that issue you permission to cross with the vehicle to another nation.
